Lighthouse Vault is your own private version of GitHub, running on a drive you own and keep. It holds your code, your documents, and the files your business runs on, with full version history, reachable from your desk and securely from anywhere you travel. It's for owners who want the convenience of modern tools without handing the only copy of their work to an account they don't control.
The problem it solves
Most businesses keep everything that matters inside accounts they rent: someone else's servers, someone else's security, someone else's terms. That works until a price changes, an account is locked, a vendor has an outage, or a breach exposes data you never controlled. Owning your repository puts the core of your business back under your own roof, where you decide who has access and where the data lives.
How we do it differently
We build it on proven, fully open-source software, set it up on hardware you own, and reach it securely over a private network with nothing exposed to the public internet. None of it is a black box. You hold the keys, you own the drive, and you can take everything with you at any time. There is no lock-in, because the whole point is that it's yours.
Owning it is a form of stewardship
The convenience of renting everything quietly trades away control of the things entrusted to you. We learn what your business needs to keep and protect, set up the Vault on hardware you own, and put a real backup plan in place so your data lives in more than one location, never a single drive. Then we keep it running: updates, monitoring, and a tested way to restore if anything ever fails. You own it. We look after it.
